We built the platform we were missing ourselves

How this started

We are two freelancers. We make websites to order — that is our studio, agency.abect.com.

Two things wore us out. First, the same kind of orders over and over. Second, the builders we were supposed to work in: cut-down functionality, and things that break where you least expect it.

But the real problem was quieter. Client sites ended up on different VPS boxes and different hostings — whichever one made sense at the time. The more projects there are, the harder that is to keep alive: every server has its own access, its own renewal date, its own way of breaking.

And the client did not have it easy either. To change a price, look at statistics or pay for hosting, they had to go to three different places and ask us to do half of it.

So we built one place. We put the sites on our own infrastructure — through the builder or custom-made and connected as external. The client gets a dashboard where everything of theirs is together, and we get one system to maintain instead of a dozen.
