Terms of Service

Effective from 21 August 2026Individual entrepreneur Melai Daiana Dmytrivna

In short

  • The free plan has no time limit — use it as long as you like and test the service before paying.
  • Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your dashboard.
  • Money for a paid period is not refunded — which is exactly why the free plan exists without a deadline.
  • Going over your limits deletes nothing immediately: the excess is switched off for 90 days and you get warning emails.
  • Your content stays yours. We make no claim to it.

This is a plain-language summary. The full text below is what legally applies.

1.What these terms cover

The Abect service (abect.com) is provided by individual entrepreneur Melai Daiana Dmytrivna, Ukraine. Referred to below as «we», and you as «the user».

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you disagree with any part of them — do not create an account; that is the only way not to be bound by them.

The service is intended for business use. If you use it as a private consumer, pay particular attention to section 7.

2.Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping access to your account and for everything that happens in it.
  • Registration details must be genuine — recovery codes and payment notices go to that email.
  • One account is one person or one business entity. For working together there are sub-accounts.
  • By creating a sub-account you grant its holder access within the permissions you set, and you are responsible for their actions as for your own.

A sub-account password stays visible to you at all times — that is deliberate, because a sub-account has no email of its own and access cannot be restored any other way. Do not reuse passwords you use elsewhere.

3.What you may publish

The content of your sites is yours. We claim no rights to it and use it for nothing except showing it to visitors of your pages.

You may not publish:

  • Anything that breaks the law of Ukraine or the law of your visitors’ country.
  • Material you do not hold the rights to.
  • Malware, phishing or fraudulent pages.
  • Sexual material involving minors, incitement to violence, hate speech.
  • Bulk mailings and anything that loads the service disproportionately to your plan.

We do not screen content in advance and are not obliged to. But on a substantiated complaint, or at the demand of an authorised body, we may switch a site off — and we will tell you why.

4.Plans and limits

Six resources are billed: sites, QR codes, products, pages, API keys and sub-accounts. Current limits and prices are shown on the pricing section and in your dashboard.

Limits are fixed as a SNAPSHOT at the moment of payment. If we later change the price list or the composition of plans, your paid period is unaffected — you get exactly what you paid for.

Prices are stated in Ukrainian hryvnia and include all applicable taxes. Payments from abroad are converted by your own bank at its rate — that conversion is outside our control.

5.Exceeding limits and the freeze

If you move to a smaller plan or your subscription ends, the excess resources are NOT deleted straight away.

Instead they are switched off and stay in your account for 90 days. During that time you can either renew the plan — and everything switches back on — or take what you need and remove the rest.

  • Reminders about frozen resources arrive every two weeks.
  • A separate email goes out three days before deletion.
  • A final email goes out on the day of deletion, listing what was removed.

After 90 days frozen resources are deleted permanently and cannot be restored — together with their analytics and files. Resources you switched off MANUALLY while you still had room in your plan are not frozen and live indefinitely.

6.Payment and auto-renewal

A paid plan is paid in advance for the chosen period: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Longer periods cost less — 10%, 20% and 30% off respectively; the Custom plan adds a discount based on the number of sites.

The subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. Funds are charged to the card you used for the first payment.

  • You can cancel auto-renewal any time in your dashboard — the plan keeps working until the end of the period already paid for.
  • If a charge fails, the account moves to the free plan and excess resources are frozen under the rules of section 5.
  • You can add resources within a paid period — the surcharge is pro-rated to the days remaining, and the renewal date does not shift.

A few days before a charge we send a reminder with the amount and the date. It is a heads-up, not a hold: if the email fails to arrive, the charge still goes through as scheduled. You will also receive a receipt immediately AFTER a successful charge, and if a charge fails, an email about the switch to the free plan. The date of the next charge is always visible in your dashboard, in the plan section.

7.Refunds

A paid period is not refundable — neither in full nor in part, including on cancelling the subscription or moving to a smaller plan before the period ends.

That is precisely why the free plan has no time limit: it exists so that you can test the service before paying for it. Build a site, print a QR code, look at the analytics — and pay only once you are satisfied that it suits you.

  • If money was charged in error — twice for the same period, or after the subscription was cancelled — write to us and we will refund it in full.
  • If the service was unavailable through our fault for more than 72 consecutive hours, we will extend your paid period by the length of the outage.

FOR CONSUMERS IN THE EU. Directive 2011/83/EU gives consumers 14 days to withdraw from a contract. By paying for a plan you expressly request that the service begin IMMEDIATELY and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal — exactly as article 16(m) of that directive provides. If you are not prepared to agree to this, use the free plan: it offers the same opportunity to test the service without spending anything.

8.Service availability

We aim for the service to run without interruption, but we do not guarantee it and do not promise a specific uptime percentage: a promise that cannot be backed up is worth nothing.

We try to schedule maintenance at night, Kyiv time, and to warn about longer work in advance.

A printed QR code points to a short link, which means it points to us. If the service is unavailable, the code temporarily does not work. This is inherent to any short-link service, and we say it plainly so that you can weigh the risk before printing large runs.

9.Liability

The service is provided «as is». To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses — lost profit, lost customers or damage to reputation.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid over the last 12 months. For users on the free plan that amount is zero.

This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it — in particular to intentional harm and to harm to life or health. These terms do not override consumer rights guaranteed by law.

10.Termination

  • You may stop using the service at any time: cancel the subscription in your dashboard or write to us to delete the account.
  • We may stop providing the service in the event of a breach of section 3 — having warned you and stated the reason.
  • For a serious breach — fraud, malware, material prohibited by law — access is switched off immediately and without warning.
  • After an account is deleted, data is removed under the rules of the Privacy Policy. Payment history is kept longer, because tax law requires it.

11.Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

If you disagree with the changes — cancel your subscription before their effective date. Continuing to use the service after that date means acceptance.

Changes to the terms do not affect the limits of a period already paid for: the snapshot fixed at payment applies.

12.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.

We try to resolve disputes by correspondence first — write to us and we will reply. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is resolved by a court under the legislation of Ukraine.

If you are a consumer in the EU, this provision does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country’s law, nor of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

Questions about these terms

Write to us before you pay, not after. We answer personally.
